Program Overview

The Wildland Fire Technology AS degree equips students to become certified wildland firefighters through the National Wildland Coordinating Group (NWCG). The program covers hand crew formation, fire line construction, wildland fire equipment usage, and safety protocols. It exceeds USFS minimum training requirements and includes demanding physical conditioning, making it suitable for certification purposes. Graduates are prepared for careers as wildland firefighters.
