Program Overview

The New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Level 6) (Construction Management) prepares graduates for careers as construction managers or consultants. It provides them with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully manage and oversee construction projects, including understanding industry roles, documentation, and administrative requirements, as well as developing strong communication skills within a construction context. The program also covers topics such as statutory and regulatory environment, construction activities management, service provision principles, structural principles and building work, material and finish selection, construction contract analysis and administration, teamwork and organizational principles, construction planning and methodologies, technical sketching, and general construction management tasks.
