Entry Requirements:
Entry from Higher Education
- Applicants holding an HND in a Computing-related subject will be eligible for direct entry to Year 3 of the BSc (Hons) Computing course.
- Applicants holding a Higher National Diploma (HND) in any other subject may be considered for entry to Year 2 of the BSc (Hons) Computing course, depending on their previous qualifications and experience.
- Applicants holding a HNC in a Computing-related subject may be considered for entry to Year 1 of the BSc (Hons) Computing course, depending on their previous qualifications and experience.
Entry from College/School
- Applicants holding an HNC in a Computing-related subject with an average grade of A in their computing modules may be eligible for entry to Year 1 of the BSc (Hons) Computing course.
- Applicants holding an HND in a Computing-related subject with an average grade of B or above in their computing modules will be eligible for entry to Year 2 of the BSc (Hons) Computing course.
Entry Requirements for International Students
- Applicants from outside the UK must meet the following entry requirements:
- A recognized qualification equivalent to a UK A-Level at Grade B or above in a science or computing-related subject.
- Applicants must also have an IELTS score of 6.0 or above with no element below 5.5.
Mature Applicants
- Mature applicants with relevant work experience will also be considered.
Additional Entry Requirements
- Applicants must have a good command of English language.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate their suitability for the course through their personal statement and references.

English Language Requirements
- Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the following English language requirements:
- A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent.
- No element of the IELTS test should be below 5.5.
- Applicants with an IELTS score of 5.5 may be eligible for entry to the University's pre-sessional English language course.
- Applicants with a recognized English language qualification, such as the Cambridge English Language Assessment (CELTA) or the Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English (ISE), may also be considered.
- Applicants who have completed a degree or other qualification taught and assessed entirely in English may be exempt from the English language requirement.
Other Language Proficiency Requirements
- Applicants who are from a country where the official language is not English may also be required to meet additional language proficiency requirements.
