Year 2:

• Engineering applications, Electric power systems, Applied thermodynamics, Computer-aided design (CAD), Mechanical engineering, Materials, and Mathematics.

Year 3:

• Building services applications, Building performance modelling, Heating and air conditioning, Lighting and electrical system design, Environmental studies, and Project management.

Year 4:

• Advanced design of heating, air conditioning, electrical and lighting systems, Building performance modelling and energy assessment, The Engineer in Business, Honours design project, and Honours dissertation.

Admission Requirements:

International Students:

Year 2 - Full Time

• College HNC: 15 credit HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering with B in graded unit.
• Other related HNC qualifications may be considered.
• A Level: BBC including Maths and Physics and GCSE English C/4.
SL English required.
• BTEC: DMM Extended Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and GCSE English C/4.
• English Language: IELTS score of 6.0 with no element below 5.5.

Year 3 - Full Time

• College HND: Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or Sustainable Design with B in graded unit.

Year 1 - Part Time

• Applicants must be in suitable full-time employment.
• College HNC: HNC Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Other related HNC qualifications may be considered.

Year 2 - Part Time

• College HND: Building Services Engineering or Sustainable Design or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with B in graded unit.

English Language:

• Applicants from a majority English speaking country may not need to provide further proof of English language proficiency.

Relevant Experience (RPL):

• University policies allow relevant work experience and prior learning to be considered for entry into the program.
• Applicants who do not meet the typical academic entry qualifications but can demonstrate relevant work experience and/or credits from recognized professional bodies may be eligible for entry via the University's Recognition of Prior Learning scheme.

Minimum Entry Requirements:

• Available for widening access students only.
• Applicants who meet specific criteria, such as living in a target postcode area, attending a target school or college, attending SWAP, being care-experienced or providing care for someone else, having refugee status or being an asylum seeker, may qualify as widening access students.
