Program Overview

Texas Wesleyan University's B.A. in History with Teaching Certificate prepares students for a teaching career in social studies at the secondary level. The program combines a strong foundation in history with the pedagogical skills and knowledge necessary for effective teaching. Graduates are eligible for Texas teacher certification. Students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and pass all history courses with a grade of "C" or above.
