Community Psychology, B.S. (Online)

The Community Psychology program at Palm Beach Atlantic University is designed for students who want to complete a bachelor's degree and have a career interest in psychology. Program Overview

The major in Community Psychology provides rigorous academic preparation for students who wish to pursue careers in human services, family and youth programs, community development, mental and physical health, counseling, violence prevention programs, multicultural program development, programs for the elderly, and human relations. Program Structure

The required curriculum for the Community Psychology major is composed of three-credit hour courses normally offered during eight-week subterms. Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the Community Psychology program, students must:

1. Submit a completed online application and $35 nonrefundable fee
2. Provide a high school transcript if bringing at least 12 transferrable college credits from a regionally accredited university
3. Have grades of a C- or better in all postsecondary coursework
4. Submit official college transcripts electronically to Palm Beach Atlantic University
5. Complete a writing assessment
6. Submit a federal or state-issued photo ID

Accelerated Program

The Community Psychology major is designed as an accelerated program, allowing full-time students to complete 30 credits each academic year. Students can expect to need a minimum of two fall and two spring semesters of enrollment to complete the major.
