Program Overview

The Medical Laboratory Sciences program at the University of Connecticut prepares students for careers as medical laboratory scientists, who perform and interpret laboratory analyses on body fluids and tissues. The program emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, and provides hands-on experience in affiliated healthcare facilities. Graduates are eligible for certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology and are qualified for a variety of careers in medical laboratories.
