Program Overview

The Asian Studies B.A. program at UMBC offers a comprehensive exploration of Asian cultures, history, and languages. Students complete core courses in Asian studies and East Asian civilization, choose an Asian language to study through the 302 level, and select elective courses from various disciplines related to Asia. The program requires a minimum of 42 credits in Asian Studies, with a minimum grade of "C" in all courses applied to the major.
