Program Overview

The Pre-Dental Hygiene program at UMBC is a two-year program that prepares students for entry into a professional dental hygiene program at another institution. The program provides the necessary knowledge and skills for success in a professional dental hygiene program, including coursework in biology, chemistry, mathematics, social sciences, psychology, and communication. Students complete two years of study at UMBC before entering a professional dental hygiene program.
