- Students must choose a concentration from Classics, French, German, Russian Language and Area Studies, Chinese Language and Area Studies, or American Sign Language/English Interpretation.
- The American Sign Language/English Interpretation concentration requires a minimum of three 4000-level American Sign Language courses: ASL 4301 Topics in American Sign Language Interpreting: Community Interpreting (3 hours), ASL 4331 Observation/Interpreting Business Practices (3 hours), and ASL 4332 Field Experience and Seminar (3 hours).
- Students must also complete three Communication Literacy (CL) courses from the following options: ASL 3312 Introduction to Deaf Culture and Linguistics (3 hours), ASL 3320 American Sign Language to English I (3 hours), and ASL 4301 Topics in American Sign Language Interpreting: Community Interpreting (3 hours).
