Program Overview

This online program in Family and Consumer Sciences Education prepares students to teach nutrition at the eighth grade and high school levels. It includes a specialized teaching certification in nutrition and a clinical student teaching experience. Graduates are equipped for careers as nutrition educators, registered dietitians, family and consumer sciences teachers, food scientists, and nutrition researchers. The program is accredited by CAEP and has a strong track record of placing graduates in jobs in their field.
