Program Overview

The Music, B.M. : Performance Concentration (Jazz) program at Texas Tech University is a four-year program that prepares students for careers in performance, composition, or music education. Students receive individual lessons, participate in jazz ensembles, and receive comprehensive instruction in jazz and classical theory and music history. Graduates are prepared to teach music in kindergarten through senior high schools or pursue careers in performance or composition.
