Program Overview

The Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program at New England College is a 60-credit program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required for state licensure as an independently practicing clinical mental health counselor. The program blends online or in-person classroom learning with clinical experiential courses and includes coursework in counseling techniques, professional ethics, treatment planning, and more. The program also incorporates a practicum and two internships for a total of 700 hours of supervised practice. The program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
