Objectives:

  • To allow students with a New Zealand qualification in planning or urban planning to delve deeper into the field through research.
  • To investigate issues in the design, technology, history, equity and diversity, policy or practice of planning.

Structure:

  • Students can choose between presenting their research as a thesis (approximately 35,000-40,000 words) or a substantial research portfolio alongside advanced coursework.
  • Immerse yourself in a supportive research environment with discourse and debate with School staff and students engaged in similar critical analysis in the field.
