Program Overview

The Bachelor of Urban Planning (Honours) at the University of Auckland is New Zealand's only undergraduate program dedicated to urban planning. It equips students with the knowledge and skills to shape urban environments economically, environmentally, socially, and culturally, preparing them for careers in local government, private consultancies, and other sectors. The program emphasizes a holistic approach, covering topics such as urban design, policy, economics, sustainability, and Māori and Pacific planning priorities. Graduates are eligible to apply for membership to the New Zealand Planning Institute.
