Program Overview


Introduction to the Bachelor of Architectural Studies

The Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) is a three-year studio-based programme that explores the design, theoretical, and environmental aspects of architecture and the built environment. It is the first step towards becoming a registered architect.


Programme Overview

The BAS introduces students to the fundamental aspects of architecture, including studio courses, real-world case studies, and future-based speculation projects. Students develop their design skills and creative practice, with access to industry-standard software and fully-equipped workshops.

Portfolio Guidelines

  • The portfolio must include between 12 and 15 pages of the applicant's own drawings, design, and/or other creative works
  • Each page may consist of one or multiple images
  • Writing should be kept to a minimum, with descriptions provided using the SlideRoom function
  • The portfolio should display evidence of a variety of techniques and media, interest in buildings and spaces, and understanding of spaces and construction principles
