- Bachelor's degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Design with a 5.0 GPA in 90 points at Stage Three.
- Bachelor's (Honours) or Postgraduate Diploma with a 5.0 GPA.
- Alternative Entry for Extensive Experience: In exceptional circumstances, individuals with substantial practical, professional, or scholarly experience deemed equivalent to the above standard may be considered.
- Interview: Required for alternative entry pathway.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Detailing relevant work experience, participation in design projects, community involvement, and academic/professional design awards.

120-point Master of Design (MDes):
- Minimum GPA: 5.0

Additional Notes:
- All GPAs mentioned refer to New Zealand grading systems. The required test scores are:
- IELTS Academic: Minimum score of 6.5, with no band score below 6.0.
- Other Accepted Tests: The University also accepts several other English language proficiency tests. International students who have completed a degree from a recognized English-speaking university within the past two years may be exempt from these requirements.
