Master of Information Governance
The Master of Information Governance responds to an increasing industry demand for graduates equipped to take up specialist roles as privacy professionals. The programme is designed for working professionals and recent graduates who seek to upskill and advance their careers in privacy, information governance, or related fields.

You will be equipped with a sound understanding of Information Governance concepts and global citizenship. You will build a strong platform of professional skills for managing privacy and information governance programmes in businesses and other organisations.

- Taught Masters: 180 points
- Requirement: 90 points (5 courses)
- Environment of Information Governance
- Information Research in Practice
- Information Ethics
- Artificial Intelligence Regulation
- Information Privacy: Theory and Application
- And 90 points comprising either:
- At least 45 points (3 courses) from:
- Technologies and Compliance
- Cybersecurity Techniques and Regulation
- Dispute Resolution Techniques
- Intellectual property and Innovation
- Access to Information
- Plus up to 45 points from other approved courses
- Or at least 15 points (1 course) from the above list, plus up to 45 points from other approved courses, and 30 points: Research Project or Project
- At least 45 points (3 courses) from:
- Requirement: 90 points (5 courses)

Entry Requirements
Minimum Programme Requirements
- Study option: Taught 180 points
- Grade required: GPA 4.0
- You must have completed a relevant bachelor's degree with a GPA of 4.0 or higher in at least 60 points above Stage II, or the equivalent.
Further Programme Requirements
- A relevant bachelor's degree may be in business, engineering, health sciences, humanities, law, sciences, or technology.
- English language requirements: IELTS Academic score of 6.5 with no bands below 6.0.

2026 Fees
- Domestic students: NZ$11,620.80
- International students: NZ$47,675
- Fees are inclusive of 15% GST but do not include the Student Services Fee, course books, travel, and health insurance, or living costs.
