The program consists of three parts:

  • Part I:
  • 60 points of core courses covering fundamental aspects of business management.
  • Part II:
  • 60 points of courses in a chosen specialization, including:
  • Strategic Management:
  • Focuses on developing analytical and decision-making skills for solving strategic challenges in organizations.
  • Digital Marketing:
  • Addresses the latest digital marketing strategies, customer insights, branding, advertising, and advanced marketing strategies.
  • Human Resource Management:
  • Provides expertise in human resource policy and practice, employment law, and analytics.
  • Part III:
  • Two 15-point courses and a 30-point capstone project, requiring students to demonstrate their ability to apply knowledge and skills independently in professional practice contexts.

Teaching:

Courses are scheduled in the evenings and within quarter-based teaching term dates to provide flexibility for working professionals. The program features experienced faculty with expertise in their respective fields.

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


Domestic students:

  • Taught: 180 points
  • Relevant bachelor's degree with a GPA of 4.0 or higher in 90 points of the most advanced courses taken.
  • OR relevant bachelor's degree + passed 60 points in the Postgraduate Certificate in Business Management with a GPA of 4.0 or higher (certificate cannot have been awarded).
  • Taught: 120 points
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) or Postgraduate Diploma in Business from the University of Auckland with a GPA of 4.0 or higher.

International students:

  • Taught: 180 points
  • Relevant bachelor's degree with a GPE (Grade Point Equivalent) of 4.0.
  • Taught: 120 points
  • One year of postgraduate study in business following an undergraduate degree with a GPE of 4.0 or higher.
