Qualifications:

  • Passed the FdA Learning and Teaching with a Merit or Distinction grade
  • Have 240 CATS points, from a relevant HND or Foundation Degree with Merit or Distinction
  • GCSE English and Maths at minimum grade 4 or grade C or equivalent
  • Made a successful application to us for accreditation of prior learning experience
  • Equivalent qualifications together with maturity and experience are taken into account when considering entry requirements
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Ideally, working or volunteering in a relevant role to support learning and teaching; typically for 2.5-4 days a week
  • Employer's reference from your headteacher (or equivalent) stating their support for your application.
  • We will consider you if you can demonstrate how you would benefit and how likely you are to complete the course. You will need the appropriate level of numeracy and literacy to support learners in schools, as well as in undergraduate study.

Mature students (over 21):

  • We welcome applications from mature candidates, including those without formal qualifications, provided you can demonstrate relevant experience and ability.

Academic credit:

  • If you have a qualification such as a foundation degree or HND or have gained credit at another university, you may be able to enter a Middlesex University course in year two or three.
