The Higher Education MA program equips education professionals with advanced knowledge and skills in higher education. Targeting education professionals in public/private sectors and those supporting adult education, this flexible curriculum offers full-time or part-time study options.


Notably in 2023-2024, only the Distance Learning mode (fully online with no campus travel) will operate.

Year 1 Required Modules (totaling 60 credits): -

  • Module 1: "The Philosophy and Policy..." (15c)-Module 2: "Pedagogy..." (15c)-Module 3: "Psychology..." learning for adult learners (1.5c)-Module 4: "Pedagog and Practice in...." Learning & development with feedback expertise tailored to various subject disciplines for participants (15 credits total)

Year 3

This year focuses solely and intensively on completion of your Dissertation (60c). It represents the culmination


Assessment:

Assessment varies and includes: (a) written assignments like critiques & reviews of relevant texts; (b. essays in reflective form c. oral presentations showcasing portfolios of assembled evidence - (d)-reports documenting peer observation for learning purposes. e (f) final paper in form of dissertatiin, or -g

  • proposals & planning/development stages leading the dissertation
  • (h) - also may include final dissertation (6oc).

Coursework and Assessments (for Year 1 only)

Coursework can include: This section provides specifics on coursework assessments within Year 1 (out of three possible years within the full MA). These include assignments like reviews/ critiques of existing literature, essays reflecting on course content - presentations - portfolios with evidence documenting peer/ self observations or learning processes - proposals (presumably on topics relevant to the chosen learning/ research pathway) - also dissertations (60 credits) in either final or planning/development (a) Teaching Approaches Used In This Program:
