Entry Requirements:
Domestic Students:
- NCEA Level 2: Must have achieved NCEA Level 2 with 48 credits, including 14 credits in literacy and 10 credits in numeracy.
- University Entrance: Applicants may also meet the university entrance requirements through other qualifications, such as the Cambridge International Examination (CIE) or the International Baccalaureate (IB).
- Relevant work experience: Applicants with relevant work experience in hospitality, tourism, or event management may be considered for entry, even if they do not meet the academic entry requirements.
International Students:
- Academic qualifications: Applicants must have completed a secondary education equivalent to the New Zealand NCEA Level 2 with an average grade of at least 65%.
- English language proficiency: Applicants must meet the English language requirements for entry into a New Zealand university. This typically involves achieving a minimum score of 6.0 in the IELTS academic test or equivalent.
International Students:
- IELTS: Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 6.0 in the IELTS Academic test with no band score lower than 5.5.
- TOEFL: Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 80 in the TOEFL iBT test with a minimum writing score of 20.
- PTE Academic: Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 58 in the PTE Academic test with no communicative skill score lower than 50.
- Applicants are encouraged to submit a personal statement and a CV as part of their application.
- Applicants may be required to attend an interview as part of the application process.
- Places on the course are limited, so early applications are encouraged.
