Domestic Students:
- NCEA: A minimum of University Entrance is required. Specific subject requirements vary depending on the chosen pathway and area of specialization.
- Alternative Entry: Applicants without the required NCEA qualifications may still be eligible through alternative pathways. These may include having equivalent qualifications, relevant industry experience, or completing bridging courses.
International Students:
- Academic qualifications: Applicants must have achieved an equivalent qualification to the New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3, with an average achievement of 50% or above. Specific course prerequisites may also apply depending on the chosen pathway and area of specialization.
- English Language Proficiency: As English is the primary language of instruction, international applicants must meet the minimum English language requirements. The accepted tests and required scores include:
- IELTS: Overall Band score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6.0.
- TOEFL: Internet Based score of 88 with a minimum writing score of 22.
- Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): Overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score below 50.
