Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


Domestic Students:

  • NCEA Level 2 with 40 credits at Level 2 or above, including 14 credits in English and 10 credits in Mathematics.
  • Alternatively, a National Certificate in Carpentry (Level 2) or equivalent qualification.
  • Applicants with relevant work experience or other qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

International Students:

  • Completion of secondary school education to a standard equivalent to NCEA Level 2.
  • English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (academic) overall with no band score lower than 5.0.
  • Applicants with relevant work experience or other qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

For international students, English language proficiency must be demonstrated through an internationally recognized test such as IELTS or TOEFL.
