Admission Requirements
Entry Requirements:
Domestic Students:
- School Leavers:
- Minimum age of 16 years old
- Achieved NCEA Level 2 with:
- 60 credits at level 2 or above
- 20 credits from any level
- Literacy: Minimum of 10 credits at Level 1 or above through specified assessment standards or unit standards package
- Numeracy: Minimum of 10 credits at Level 1 or above through specified assessment standards or unit standards package
- Mature Applicants:
- Over 20 years old at the time of enrolment
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in the program, such as:
- Completion of a program of study at level 2 or above
- Employment in the related sector for one or more years
- Subject to program regulations approved by the Head of Faculty
- Personal commitment and belief in one’s ability to succeed
International Students:
- English Language Requirements:
- One of the following:
- NCEA Level 3 with University Entrance
- International Baccalaureate Diploma or Cambridge A-level qualification with English instruction
- Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA)
- Trinity College London Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL)
- Successful completion of primary and secondary education in English-speaking countries
- Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree with English instruction
- Successful completion of an internationally recognized proficiency test (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, etc.) with the required score
- All SIT2LRN courses require a computer and internet access.
- Students must use their SIT2LRN webmail for all program communications.
- Facilitator assistance is available via email during the enrolled intake period.
- Progress reports are sent out 6-8 weeks after the end of each intake.
