Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


(EU Home Students)

  • NCEA Level 2: Achieve University Entrance or equivalent qualifications.
  • NCEA Level 3: Achieve 14 credits at Level 3 or above, including 6 credits in a relevant subject such as English, Science, Mathematics, or Social Studies.
  • UE subjects: English (literacy), Mathematics, two subjects from a list of approved subjects.

(International Overseas Students Outside the EU)

  • NCEA Level 2: Achieve University Entrance or equivalent qualifications.
  • NCEA Level 3: Achieve 14 credits at Level 3 or above, including 6 credits in a relevant subject such as English, Science, Mathematics, or Social Studies.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Achieve a minimum score of 24 points overall, with at least 4 points in each subject at Higher Level.
  • A-Levels: Achieve a minimum of 3 A-Levels, with at least one in a relevant subject such as English, Mathematics, or Science.
  • Other qualifications: Equivalent qualifications from an international education system may be considered.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

  • IELTS: Achieve an overall score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6.0.
  • TOEFL (iBT): Achieve an overall score of 90 with a minimum score of 20 in each section.
  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE): Achieve a minimum score of 176 with no score lower than 169 in any skill area.
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic): Achieve a minimum score of 65 with no score lower than 60 in any skill area.
  • Applications from mature students with relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Applicants may be required to attend an interview as part of the application process.
  • The specific entry requirements may vary depending on the individual course of study.
