MSc Health and Global Environment

Overview

The MSc Health and Global Environment postgraduate degree is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in planning and decision-making to improve the health of populations at global and national levels.


Introduction

The COVID-19 pandemic highlights the challenge in managing the complex forces and interrelationships that shape the health of the environment and the general public. This course is carefully designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in planning and decision-making to improve the health of populations at global and national levels.

Course Structure

The 180-credit MSc award comprises eight 15-credit taught modules, followed by a 60-credit research project.

    • Environmental Pollution and Remediation

Trimester Two

  • Professional Practice
  • Research Design and Delivery

Trimester Three

  • Dissertation (60 credits)

Teaching and Assessments

Teaching is delivered through lectures, with some by visiting practitioners; fieldwork; site visits; seminars and tutorials. Each module is assessed individually through coursework including formative and summative assessments.

An IELTS score of 6.0 (no element below 5.5) is proof of this, however, the University does accept a range of equivalent qualifications.
