Overview
This module is designed to provide you with opportunities via work-based learning, practical application of activities and mentoring to evaluate yourself and others, and reflect on techniques required to develop, justify and defend a business case.

You can take this course as a single module for continuing professional development or as part of MSc Leadership and Management for Health Care Practice.

What Will I Be Doing?
This module will utilise a blended teaching and learning approach where theory will be underpinned by practice and practice will inform theory. Delivery will include lectures, seminars, debates and the use of the University's virtual learning environment, Blackboard.
Assessment:
- Viva voce: Justify and defend a business case.
- Written Assignment: 2,000 words.

What You Need to Know

This module is suitable for all health care professionals who want to develop their leadership or management role.
Entry Requirements
- Previous study and experience
- A registered professional working in health care.
- A graduate or graduate equivalent.
Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL)
We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully.
The Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) process could help you to make your work and life experience count. The APL process can be used for entry onto courses or to give you exemptions from parts of your course.
Two forms of APL may be used for entry: the Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) or the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).
