Course Details
All about the course
This online module will help develop an understanding of the theory, research evidence, and practice of Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). The module will introduce specific CFT interventions, case formulation, and assessment.
What will I be doing?
The module is delivered through a core of weekly, live online sessions involving whole group and small group interaction. These live sessions are supported by a range of additional online resources.
Assessment
- Case study - 15-minute presentation
- Present a case study (which can be based on previous client work), demonstrating the rationale behind the CFT interventions used (or might theoretically have used) with a client, informed by a CFT formulation.
- Written essay - 3,000 words
- Submit a case study demonstrating actual or hypothetical CFT theory and practice with a client. This should also critically discuss the research evidence in relation to the interventions used and demonstrate self-reflection and self-practice.
