Entry Requirements:


Undergraduate Degree

The minimum requirement for the MSc/PgDip Artificial Intelligence course is a second-class (2:2) division honors degree or equivalent in a computer science or related science, technology, engineering, or mathematics subject. This degree must have included programming content. This course is also for industry professionals who hold or aspire to secure roles in senior management, digital transformation, marketing, or information management.


Alternative Entry Requirements


Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL):

  • Applications are welcome from students who don't meet the formal entry requirements but have relevant experience or the ability to succeed in the program.
  • Through the APL process, your work and life experiences can be taken into account for entry or exemptions.
  • Two forms of APL exist: Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) and Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).

Language Proficiency Requirements:

All courses at the University of Salford are delivered and assessed in English. Applicants whose first language isn't English need to demonstrate their proficiency by achieving an IELTS score of 6.0 (no element below 5.5). Other equivalent qualifications are also accepted.
