Program Overview

The Advanced Pharmacy Practice (with Independent Prescribing) PgDip program at Queen's University Belfast is a part-time, 12-month program designed for hospital pharmacists. It combines distance learning, work-based learning, and on-campus workshops to equip graduates for advanced practice roles in specialized areas of pharmacy practice. Admission requires a graduate-level degree in pharmacy, completion of the NICPLD foundation/vocational training program, and employment as a hospital pharmacist.
