Program Overview

The BS in Statistics at UIC prepares students for careers in data analysis or advanced study in statistics. The program offers two concentrations: Statistical Theory and Methods and Applied Statistics. Graduates are well-equipped for careers in fields such as data science, actuarial science, and finance. The program emphasizes practical skills in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation, using statistical software packages like R and SAS.
