Program Overview

The University of Illinois Chicago's BA in Spanish program offers a comprehensive understanding of the Spanish language, Hispanic culture, and literature. Students complete 31 credit hours of coursework, including grammar, composition, literature, linguistics, and culture. Graduates are prepared for careers in teaching, translation, business, government, and non-profit organizations. The program is accredited by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
