Program Overview

The MEd in Science Education prepares future teachers to teach science in diverse urban settings. The program emphasizes culturally responsive pedagogy, social justice, and equity, and offers a curriculum that includes core courses in science content, pedagogy, and field experiences. Graduates are qualified to teach science in middle and high schools and may also pursue careers in science education research, curriculum development, or informal science education.
