- Year Two: Continues building core knowledge with modules in Calculus of Several Variables, Complex Analysis, Series and Transforms, Linear Algebra, Foundations of Probability and Statistics, and Operational Research.
- Year Three: Students gain professional work experience as mathematicians/statisticians through paid employment placements.
- Year Four: No mandatory modules, offering a wide selection to specialize or further broaden knowledge, including opportunities like individual research projects.
Assessment:
Assessment methods vary between modules and can include written examinations and continuous assessments such as problem-solving exercises, written reports, computer programs, and oral presentations. Additionally, students reflect on their professional development and skills acquired in the placement through written documents and poster presentations during year 4.

Teaching methods vary from lectures and small-group tutorials to examples class discussions to individual independent studies in later years. Emphasis is placed on supporting learning through personal tutors, open-door policies by lecturers, the well-equipped School Library, and extensive online resources, including Learning Central's platform with its multimedia material, bibliographies, forums, and exercises.

AAB-ABB. Must include grade A in Maths.
Extended Project Qualification (EPQ):
Applicants with grade A in the EPQ/IPQ will typically receive an offer one grade lower than the standard offer. Please note that any subject-specific requirements must still be met.
International Baccalaureate:
34-32 overall or 666-665 in 3 HL subjects. Must include grade 6 in HL Maths or Maths Analysis and Approaches.
Baccalaureate Wales:
From September 2023, there will be a new qualification called the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales (level 3). This qualification will replace the Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (Welsh Baccalaureate). The qualification will continue to be accepted in lieu of one A-Level (at the grades listed above), excluding any specified subjects.
Other essential requirements:
