Program Overview

Aston University's Independent Prescribing for Optometrists program empowers optometrists to become Independent Prescribers, expanding their role in patient care. Through distance learning and a clinical placement, participants gain expertise in ocular pharmacology, therapeutics, and prescribing for various eye conditions, preparing them for GOC registration as Independent Prescribing Optometrists.
