Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


Domestic Applicants:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, including:
  • Grade 12 English (or equivalent)
  • One of the following:
  • Grade 12 Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Grade 12 Physics (or equivalent)
  • Grade 12 Technological Design (or equivalent)
  • Three additional Grade 12 courses (or equivalents) in any subject
  • Mature applicant route: Applicants 19 years of age or older who have been out of high school for at least one year may be eligible for mature student status.
  • They will need to demonstrate their academic ability through a combination of high school transcripts, work experience, and an interview.
  • College or university transfer applicants: Applicants who have completed post-secondary education may be eligible for transfer credit.
  • Their transcripts will be reviewed to determine which courses will be accepted towards the Renewable Energy Techniques program.

International Applicants:

  • Completion of secondary school education equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with a minimum of 60% average.
  • English language proficiency:
  • Minimum score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test, with no band score lower than 5.5.
  • Minimum score of 80 on the TOEFL iBT test, with a minimum score of 20 in each section.
  • Completion of senior level English at a recognized Canadian high school.
  • Completion of an approved English language pathway program.
  • Academic transcripts and references from previous institutions.
  • May be required to participate in an interview.

Language Proficiency Requirements:
