Language Proficiency Requirements:

  • The University of Brighton requires all international students whose first language is not English to demonstrate proficiency in English before they can start their studies.
  • You can meet the English language requirement by achieving the minimum score on one of the following tests:
  • IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each element.
  • TOEFL iBT: 90 overall with a minimum of 21 in each section.
  • PTE Academic: 65 overall with a minimum of 54 in each section.
