Entry Requirements:


UK Applicants:

  • GCSE: Grade C or 4 in English Language, Mathematics and a physical science.
  • Mature students without these qualifications who have relevant industry experience may be considered.
  • A-levels: DDD including Maths and Physics.
  • For other combinations, 96 points including Maths and Physics. General Studies excluded.
  • BTEC National Diploma or BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: MMM in a relevant subject, such as Design, Surveying and Planning, Design Development for Engineering and Manufacturing or similar qualification.
  • Other T-Level qualifications are not accepted.
  • International Baccalaureate: 24 points, with two subjects at Higher Level including Mathematics and Physics.

EU Applicants:

  • Applicants must satisfy the same academic entry requirements as UK applicants.
  • They must also have IELTS 5.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each element.

International Overseas Applicants:

  • Applicants must meet the same academic entry requirements as UK applicants.
  • They must also have IELTS 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each element.

Please note:

  • Applicants with relevant qualifications and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

  • Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate their English language proficiency by achieving the required score in an approved English language test, such as:
  • IELTS: 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each element.
  • TOEFL: 88 overall with a minimum of 22 in each element.
  • Pearson PTE Academic: 63 overall with a minimum of 59 in each element.
  • Applicants who have completed a recognised English language qualification in the UK may be exempt from taking an English language test.
