A-levels or BTEC
- A-level AAB–BBB (136–120 UCAS Tariff points), or BTEC Extended Diploma DDD–DMM.
- You will be considered if your predicted grades fall above or within this range.
- A-level maths, or its equivalent, is normally a requirement for entry.
International Baccalaureate
- 27 points, with three subjects at Higher level.
- Higher level subjects to include maths at grade 5.
Access to HE Diploma
- Pass with 60 credits overall. Engineering or science.
- At least 45 credits at level 3, with 24 credits at merit or above with overall distinction profile.
- Must achieve level 3 maths with distinction.
Foundation degree/HND
- International foundation may be considered.
- HND may be considered for year 2 entry.
- A qualification, HE credits, or relevant experience may count towards your course at Brighton, and could mean that you do not have to take some elements of the course or can start in year 2 or 3.
English language requirements

The language of instruction for this program is English. applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English. Acceptable evidence of English language proficiency includes:
- A minimum overall score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) academic test, with no individual score below 5.5.
- A minimum overall score of 79 on the TOEFL iBT test, with a minimum writing score of 21.
- A minimum overall score of 176 on the Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) test, with a minimum score of 169 in each skill.
- A minimum overall score of 180 on the Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) test, with a minimum score of 176 in each skill.
Additional Notes:
- Applicants who have completed a degree-level qualification taught and assessed in English from a recognized institution in a majority English-speaking country may be exempt from providing evidence of English language proficiency. The specific entry requirements may vary depending on your individual circumstances.
