Program Overview

Marshall University's School Counseling, M.A. program prepares graduates to become professional school counselors with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to provide comprehensive counseling services to students of all ages. Accredited by CACREP, the program combines synchronous and asynchronous online courses with supervised field experiences to equip graduates for licensure as Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) in West Virginia. Graduates are prepared for careers in K-12 schools, private practice, and other settings, making a positive impact on the lives of students and their families.
