The Doctor of Education (EdD) in Curriculum and Instruction at Marshall University is designed for professionals working in or interested in working in P-12 education, teacher education, higher education, and training and professional development.
Program Highlights
- Standard Fees: There are no fee increases for out-of-state candidates with our distance learning tuition and fees.
- Areas of Emphasis: Develop a specialization by selecting an area of emphasis that connects to prior graduate work, builds on new skills and knowledge, and/or relates closely to research interests.
- Dual Enrollment Option: EdD Candidates in Curriculum & Instruction can earn an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Curriculum & Instruction. The 30 hours of courses required for the EdS can all be applied to the EdD. Dually enrolled candidates apply to graduate with the EdS upon completion of core and research courses, before writing the dissertation.
