This is a 15-credit short course at SCQF level 11 delivered online part-time for 10 weeks. This cross-industry data management course is aimed at new and current practitioners. The program focuses on the development of the energy sector towards the fourth industrial revolution, specifically focusing on nuclear power, oil and gas, and wind. It emphasizes the importance of energy data management in all aspects of the asset lifecycle, from original equipment manufacturers to decommissioning. The course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage data and information in the energy sector, ultimately leading to better business and public outcomes.

Teaching:

The staff on this course have extensive experience in industrial data and information management, both in industry and academia, as well as experience in analytics and digital working. Guest lecturers from industry and other external bodies are invited to speak on an ad hoc basis.
