Degree Overview:
This short course aims to provide you with an understanding and awareness of the role of First Contact Practitioner within your own professional practice. We will provide you with the skills and knowledge to be able to critique the definitions and components of FCP in health and social care. You will learn to appraise the challenges and opportunities of FCP within your own professional practice.
Objectives:
- Develop a critical and applied understanding of the attributes and role of the FCP in advanced clinical practice.
- Develop an understanding of the key competencies relating to the FCP role including leadership, management, current policy and the evidence base supporting the delivery of advanced clinical practice.

The course is delivered online, utilizing a mix of workshops and tutorials, and delivered over 6 weeks with six further weeks to prepare the assessment required for completion.
