The Introduction to Project Planning, Evaluation and Control short course is a 15-credit program at SCQF level 11, offered by Aberdeen Business School. What You Will Study
Upon completion of this course, participants are expected to be able to:
- Understand, analyse, and critically apply the theory of planning techniques and demonstrate competence using contemporary IT project management tools.
- Critically appraise and assess resource scheduling and allocation techniques within a project environment, including the application of network diagrams, critical path analysis, and resource levelling.
- Evaluate and apply key evaluation, monitoring, and control processes within a project context.

Learning Methods
This module is delivered through online learning via the University's Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle. A two-hour session is planned each week to allow engagement between the teaching team and course participants.
Independent Study
Materials and exercises are available online, allowing participants to study flexibly and independently. Participants will also have access to further reading resources and online tutor support.
Assessment
The course is assessed through a written assignment, including an essay.

Fee-Waiver Places
If domiciled in Scotland, applicants may be eligible for a fee-waiver place, meaning they can study for free.
Course Fee
For applicants not eligible for a fee-waiver place, the course fee is 」520 for the entire module.
Additional Costs
Some other costs are not included in the course fees, such as accommodation and living costs, and printing.
