Assessment
The module is assessed using a sophisticated case-study where students explore managing a library service within a community. There are two assignments: a community profile and the creation of a service development plan.
Independent Study
Students are required to become independent 'open learners,' taking responsibility for their learning. The course requires approximately 8-10 hours per week of independent study, including prescribed reading, preparing for and participating in group activities, and researching and writing course reports.
