Program Overview


Module - Work Based Learning (level 7)

Overview

Work based learning modules are offered in two sizes, there are 40 credit modules and 20 credit modules. Learning is centred around actual activity within your practice setting.


Purpose

The purpose of work based learning is to support effective learning and development and the application of knowledge and skills within a practice setting. The focus of the module is on the direct application of learning to real work issues and problems. Work based learning involves reflection on practice; learning from the experience.


Entry Requirements

  • Prior successful study at the underpinning level
  • Must be prepared to work cooperatively with employer and subject tutor to determine the nature of module content and assessment
  • Must nominate an appropriate workplace mentor who can act as 'professional verifier' of practice

Fees and Funding

Tuition Fees Policy

Tuition fees are set annually and are subject to review each year. The University may therefore raise tuition fees in the second or subsequent years of a course, in line with inflation and/or the maximum permitted by law or government policy. Students will be notified of any changes as soon as possible.
