BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation
Overview
The BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation degree is designed to give students the industry knowledge, skills, and enhanced employment prospects to become accredited professionals. Accredited by both BASRaT and CIMSPA, this course enables eligibility for BASRaT membership as a Graduate Sport Rehabilitator, opening up NHS options via the Professional Standards Authority.
Course Structure
The course is divided into three years, each with a focus on developing practical and clinical skills, knowledge, and competencies.
Year One
- Develop practical and clinical reasoning skills, as well as foundational knowledge of human movements and functions.
- Explore basic exercise techniques and training to achieve CIMSPA Gym Instructor qualification upon completion of the module.
- Commence personal and professional development through dedicated modules designed to support the transition from level 3 to level 4.
Year Two
- Develop clinical skills needed to become an independent learner and practitioner.
- Opportunities to work in small groups as part of clinical problem-based learning, planning, discussing, and applying evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Further applications of functional sports rehabilitation and later-stage strength and conditioning modules.
Year Three
- Develop critical thinking and reasoning skills through advanced problem-solving scenarios.
- Study a module in Professional Development and Employment, focusing on careers, goal planning, and enhancing job prospects.
- Conduct an advanced investigative project, allowing further specialization in the chosen discipline.
Teaching and Assessment

Minimum Entry Requirements
- 104-112 UCAS Tariff points
- GCSE English Language at grade 4/C or above
- Functional Skills Level 2 in English Adult Literacy are also accepted
