This online short course explores emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), its causes and impacts, and provides strategies for practitioners to support affected children and young people.   • This postgraduate level microcredit will benefit anyone working with, or aspiring to work with, children and young people, specifically in terms of attendance within an educational setting.
  • Ideally, applicants should have:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an education setting, for example, early years, a primary school, special school, secondary school, further education college, alternative educational provision, or informal education settings.
  • Note: If you do not meet the academic requirements detailed above but have at least 3 years of relevant work experience and have evidence of recent study or professional development (to demonstrate an ability to study at Level 7) we may consider your application.
  • International/EU Students: This course is not open to international students.
