Undergraduate Certificate in Animation
Overview
Wichita State’s undergraduate certificate in animation combines creativity with hands-on learning in a technology-rich environment. Students gain essential knowledge and techniques to bring their artwork to life—from drawing to digital animations—and build qualifications for career success in a variety of creative settings.
Curriculum
To complete the 15-credit-hour undergraduate certificate, students take the following courses:
- Life Drawing
- Computer Modeling
- Digital Animation I
- Digital Animation II
- One of the following: Digital Animation III, Prop and Character, Rigging, Storyboarding.
Enrollment
To add this certificate to a plan of study, students follow these steps:
- Log into the myWSU portal, find the Student Tools box (center of the page) and click "Change my Major/Minor."
- Click continue (this will show the current major and minor).
- Click continue, then click on "Add a certificate" and choose the certificate program. Click continue and submit request.
